39 hours, 6 minutes, and 32 seconds until Raid!
Goal Our goal is to advance as a tightly knit team. New targets and encounters are expected on a regular basis. As we continuously progress through new content we will overcome many challenging obstacles. All of our members are expected to play at their very best at all times and work as a team. We want to see end-game content, but there will be many hurdles faced while getting there. Our top priority is to have FUN. When the day comes that it is laborious to log on, we will re-evaluate our position and change our goal so that it is fun again.
General If there is a conflict amongst members they should settle it within tells. Guild chat is not the place for arguments and there will only be one warning. If it continues a member is subject to guild removal.
Publicly challenging an officer's decision will not be tolerated. If a member has an issue they should talk it over with an officer in private.
We must avoid conflict with those outside the guild. Anyone not following this rule will be subject to guild removal.
Members who do not maintain a 70% raid attendance may be DKP penalized or removed from the guild, depending on their current situation.
Members that can not keep a positive attitude and fail to put forth there best play style on any and all raids (no matter the raid content) may be DKP penalized or guild removed.
While our guild is on farm status (after the latest expansion has been defeated) its members are expected to keep the minimum raid attendance. Those who fail to keep their attendance above the minimum may be penalized up to a months worth of loot rights and (in some cases) may revert back to an applicant. Our guild (as a team) helps to progress your character(s) in flags, keys and Gear, and in return expects you to be there when others in the guild are in need of that same help.
If a guild member leaves, they get one chance to rejoin. If they elect to rejoin us they will start out as a trial member and may (or may not) lose some (if not all) of their original DKP. This penalty (if any) is strictly up to the discretion of the Guild Leader and his officer team.
Inactive members will be removed from the guild. (The length of time to determine when a member becomes inactive is solely based on the discretion of the guild leader and his officer team).
Every member is required to focus on learning the events in the zones we raid in. They should learn the following of each such event. 1. The individual role that they play in the event 2.The general timing and pattern(s) of the event. 3) The requirements of the event. They should be able to explain at any given time how the event works after performing it for the 5th time.
Every member should be ready and able to raid at the beginning of our scheduled raid time (7 pm EST) and be able to continuously do so until the end of our scheduled raid time. (Usually 12 am EST) While AFK`s are unavoidable at times our members are asked to keep them to a minimum. Prolonged and repeated AFK`s can result in DKP penalties (or guild removal) at the discretion of the Guild Leader. Members MUST inform an Officer if they need to AFK for a long period of time (5 minutes or more). Unless there is an emergency our members must never be AFK while an event or raid encounter is taking place.
It will be the priority of every guild member to collect, attain and complete the various flags, keys and progression quests needed to unlock each and every new zone that we raid in. Getting to the end zones of every expansion is a top priority for Stronghold of Savages. This is not an option. One example would be the SoF factioning for RkII spells. Any members not making these goals a top priority may be subject to DKP penalties.

Loot System Our Guild awards loot based on a point system. As a member attends raids and helps the guild they will be awarded points. If a member plays multiple characters they must choose one main character to get these points, their alternate character(s) receive none. When a member is asked to play one of their alternate characters (or to use another member's character to receive a flag, key etc.) their Main will get credit even though they are on another person`s character. If an Alternate Character is needed to fulfill a position in a raid that persons Main will receive the credit for playing his/her Alt as asked.
The loot from raid-type encounters are called out in Guild chat once the encounters are finished. When this loot is announced every member that is interested in it must send a tell to the DKP officer to request the item. Items are awarded in the following order...
The order in which an item is decided follows this pattern. 1. Full member (equal or greater than 70% raid attendance, 30-day) 2. Full member (equal or greater than 60% raid attendance, 30-day) 3. Trial member (equal or greater than 80% raid attendance, Lifetime if under 30 days, with a min 7-day history if competing with a FM under 60%) 4. Full member (less than 60% raid attendance, 30-day) 5. Trial member (under 80% and/or 0-day) 6. Guest Raider (Must be current level of most recent expansion, have helped on a raid in past week and must have positive DKP after the purchase of the item) 7. Main Alternate (MA) character of a Full member (equal or greater than 70% raid attendance) 8. Main Alternate (MA) character of a Full member (less than 70% raid attendance) 9. Any alternate character that is a member in the guild but not designated as a Main Alt. 10. Main Alternate (MA) character of a Trial Member with at min 7-day (Trial Members under 7-day can not loot on alternate characters) 11. Rot/or Random at Officers discretion.
**Rot or Roll Called Items. Only FM can roll on free Items that we random at raid. ** Bidders in the highest category, with the most dkp wins.
Lastly, effective immediatly 2 hand weps that were rot/random will be called in guild like normal loot to make sure any main or app that want these items enough to spend dkp can now do so. They will follow our normal award system thereafter.
The Full member (see above) with the highest amount of points wins the item. Please keep in mind that items that are deemed to be more beneficial to the guild will be offered to those classes first. Examples include mana preservation items for clerics, piercers for rogues, AC augs for knights, etc. If no Full member is interested in the item an Applicant may put in for it. Trial Members earn points throughout their trial period and may use them to spend on any item they wish at this point in the looting process. If no Applicant desires the item it is then available to Alts that request it. If more than one Alt requests the item it up to the Officers to decide which Alt is allowed to win the item. (Items awarded to Alts have no point value and in effect are free. This is done to better our alts and to ensure that no good item rots) Guild members or Trial Members that wish to spend DKP for an item always have loot priority over alternate characters.
Full members or Trial Members are allowed to request a item regardless of their current total DKP. One can win an item by being the least negative in points should two or more Members with Negative DKP wish the item.
Spells and Runes Will go to FM's at the discretion of Officers first. Afterwards high playtime apps with little to no slacking OR regular attending Alts who are crucial to the guilds progression will be next in line (again Officer discretion). If you are an app and have 70 - 80% RA..dont expect to get a full lineup of Runes/spells until you are above 95% RA. You may get a few critical spells needed to help guild but wont receive anything else until you prove ur worth 95% RA +.
Days off Atm Saturdays are the only day off per week that we take ( subject to change)
Our Guild's Application Process 1. Application stage. (1-7 days) This begins when someone applies. The Officers will look over the application and decide to approve or deny it. If it is approved the applicant can move into the next stage. Applicants do not gain DKP.
2.) Trial Membership. (21 days) Trial members are invited to the guiild. They earn DKP over this time period. They may spend these points on any item they wish should no Full members request it. If at the end of their trial membership they meet our requirements and have a Raid Attendance above 70% they will be moved on to stage three.
3.) Membership Evaluation. (1-7days) Trial members will be evaluated and thoroughly watched throughout this period by the guild Officers. If they have proven themselves to be a worthy candidate for Full guild membership (and are approved by the officers) they will be moved on to stage four.
4.) Full membership. (Indefinite) A full member has access to all forums besides the Officer forums. Full members get the highest consideration on items and can randomly roll on all free items as selected by the Officers.
Third Party Software Guild members that are caught using Third Party Software programs as cheats or hacks will be deguilded immediately.
The Bottom Line I have no desire to baby-sit anyone, nor I am not here to listen to your real life problems or out-of-game issues. I am here to raid in a fast paced environment yielding the maximum amount of gain for my efforts. I expect the same types of effort from each and every one of you. The Guild Officers and your fellow guild mates do not log in 7 days a week to sit around and wait for you to log in when you feel like it. If you can not commit to this type of raiding schedule then I would suggest not wasting our time. If you become a Full member you will be expected to uphold and adhere to our guild policies regarding Conduct and Attendance. We are here to progress as a team, and to see the cutting edge of Everquest`s end-game content.
Wantu,
Guild Leader |
